Owner of Argyle Studio in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Cam Loeppky is an award-winning recording and mixing engineer, producer, co-owner of The Good Will Social Club music venue, and co-founder of independent label Disintegration Records.
Since 1992, he’s been behind the boards live and in studio as one of Canada’s most sought-after engineers, accumulating a long list of accomplishments in that time. He’s toured with acts such as Sloan, Metz, and Constantines, mapping sound at some of the world’s most legendary venues. He’s recorded sessions with many acclaimed artists including the Weakerthans, John K. Samson, Christine Fellows, Greg MacPherson, Novillero, Imaginary Cities, and Cannon Bros., earning his recorded work 13 Polaris Music Prize nominations and 12 spots on the Winnipeg Free Press’ list of the “100 best songs in Winnipeg history.” He’s also been the recipient of multiple Western Canadian Music Awards for Engineer of the Year.
Having been at the centre of the independent music scene in Canada for nearly half of his life, he’s relied on decades of chops to unearth a myriad of artistic visions. A precise technician with a natural ability to make artists feel comfortable, many revered recordings continue to benefit from his engineering feats.
